When you decide to buy Panama real estate then you will want to find a Panamanian realtor. Of course, it is not all that easy to find a realtor who is not only familiar with Bocas real estate but who also is trustworthy and bilingual! If you do not speak Spanish, which is the national language of Panama , then you will need a translator. And, trying to find an honest translator and honest realtor could be a bit of a challenge in Bocas del toro. It is not that people are dishonest, but there are some who prey on tourists so you have to watch your back at all times. That is until you are comfortable with the country and the language. It will not take you very long, however, to find a real estate agent in Panama . The best way to do this is to ask for recommendations. Talk to friends or family members who have purchased homes in Panama and see what they have to say. Alternatively, you could check the web for recommendations. The most important thing is that you find a good realtor that is honest and will help you find a home in a good neighborhood at a fair price.
