Understanding CISSP Certification

Many people have heard of CISSP certification but they aren’t aware that this is something that they can seek out for themselves. CISSP training is considered by individuals so that they can learn more about a whole range of information security topics. Some of the topics that are covered in CISSP training include access control, application security, business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and cryptography. In addition those taking a CISSP certification course will also have to learn about information security, risk management, legal regulations, operations security, physical security, security architecture and design and telecommunications and network security. These topics make up what is known as the Common Body of Knowledge or CBK and are considered industry basics.
One can obtain their CISSP certification when they meet some specific requirements. First, they must have five years of professional experience in information security. They must also attest to the truth of their assertions regarding professional experience as well as accept the CISSP code of ethics. In addition the individual must attest to a lack of criminal history. An individual must also pass the CISSP exam with a scaled score of 700 points or greater. And they also must have their qualifications endorsed by another qualified professional.
