Security camera systems are widely used in both residential, commercial and industrial settings. If you are thinking of buying a security camera system, it is important to know the technical terms that you will hear when looking for a security system. You should also know how camera formats are measured. Basically, the are discussed in inches and the majority are either ¼” to 1″. In most CCTV systems the security system will use either ¼” to 1/3″ without sacrificing any quality.
Color and resolution are other factors you need to consider while shopping for a CCTV. Security guards can determine what the individual is wearing and what they look like much better with a color camera than with one that is black and white. Resolution is important because it will determine how detailed the pictures the camera receives are.
